Repurposing Disposable Bamboo Chopsticks Waste as Biochar for Agronomical Application
نویسندگان
چکیده
Disposable bamboo chopsticks (DBCs) are rarely recycled, and there not many options for recycling them. Some treatment processes use high technology complex that convenient production at the local level, resulting in practical difficulties upcycling DBC waste. is lignocellulosic biomass; therefore, has potential to be recycled upcycled. The waste management of wood transforms it into a sustainable material as biochar with pyrolysis process accords well circular economy model. This research effort aims upcycle convert different temperature ranges set 400 °C (DBC-400), 450 (DBC-450), 500 (DBC-500), holding time 60 min. morphology essential physicochemical properties were analyzed. found all had structures appropriate agricultural environmental purposes. Based on molar ratio O/C H/C, was indicated could persist soil 100 1000 years. DBC-500 least hydrophilic surface biochar, while DBC-400 lower degree carbonization aromaticity biochar. concluded produced best supplementary treatment, given cation exchange capacity, specific area, average pore diameter, nutrient content. For future application agronomical purposes, results will lead development furnace suitable area able produce large amounts effectively DBC. In addition, determining absorption release rate macronutrients can predict frequency applied areas.

Adsorptive Removal of Fluoroquinolone Antibiotics Using Bamboo Biochar
The occurrence of fluoroquinolone antibiotics in wastewater has drawn great attention. Adsorption of widely used fluoroquinolone antibiotics (enrofloxacin and ofloxacin) in wastewater using bamboo biochar was investigated. More than 99% of fluoroquinolone antibiotics were removed from the synthetic wastewater through adsorption. Adsorption capacities of bamboo biochar slightly changed when pH i...

متن کاملIntroduction of sulfonated bamboo (bamboo-SO3H) as a new catalyst for the facile synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes
Bamboo is one of the important biopolymers which is used in chemistry. In this work, for the first time, a solid acid catalyst from bamboo was prepared from the reaction of sawdust bamboo and chlorosulfonic acid. Relevant properties of catalyst were investigated by FT-IR, XRD, SEM and TGA. The sulfonated bamboo (bamboo-SO3H) with several acid functional groups was utilized as highly ...
